Solid Waste Disposal

Transportation of waste/demo debris to the Marion Transfer Station by individuals is allowed with a Sticker and Number assigned by the Town Office. Fees for any trash except for regular household trash is the responsibility of the resident.

Tuesday - Saturday  7:30 am – 3:30 pm
Closed Sundays and Mondays and holidays.

Marion Transfer Station Fees

Household trash
Associated fees are assessed to the Town.

Other Fees
Car tires up to 18 inches $5.00 each, $7.00 with rims; 5 or more tires and larger tires are weighed in at 7.5 cents per pound

Universal waste disposal includes at no charge Televisions, Computers, Monitors, Unbroken flourescent light bulbs

Brush accepted 7 cents per lb. and put into a separate yellow container

Demo debris for everyone is 7 cents per pound or $140. per ton: sheetrock, painted or stained wood, windows, doors, plastic pipe, paneling, tile and flooring, siding boards, ceramic sinks, toilets, tubs, roofing shingles, fiberglass insulation (no bags - loose only)

Couches, chairs, mattresses, box springs, and rugs are 6 cents per pound and are put into the compactor #1.

Free Recycling for Metal Cans. Metal recycling is free, refrigerators must have the freon remove.

Recycling at Pleasant River

Pleasant River Solid Waste Disposal District does accept recycling from Cutler. Hours are Wednesday 8-5, Friday 12-5, and Saturday 8-5. 1340 US 1, Columbia Falls (207) 483-3844 #2 Plastics only, cardboard, paper+magazines+paperback and hardcover (with cover removed) books, metals and cans.
